Pathology Department
The aim of teaching pathology is to provide comprehensive knowledge of the causes and mechanisms of disease, in order to complete understanding of the natural history and clinical manifestations of the disease.
To know and Utilization of the basic science literature of anatomic, histological, and physiologic normality of cell to interpret clinico morphologic changes
To Correlate between mechanisms underlying disease progression morphologic (gross, cellular, and ultrastructural), physiologic, and biochemical changes and clinical features and complications of diseases.
To Plan, execute and evaluate teaching assignments in pathology, should be able to teach medical, paramedical and allied personnel.
Capable of offering appropriate and high quality diagnostics in a given clinical situation with a relevant sample of tissue, blood, body fluid, etc. for the purpose of diagnosis and management of the ill.
To understand the role of the pathologists as one of the key member of a medical team responsible for the diagnosis of the medical case, and the identification of the appropriate treatment.
Examination and processing of surgical an cytological preparations ,to Interpret morphological changes of the disease In correlation to clinical manifestations, lab investigations and radiological findings of the disease.
Diagnosis of surgical specimens and cytological preparations to Provide intraoperative consultation services including ancillary techniques like special stains, immune histochemical stains to aid in diagnosis.
To perform autopsies in order to study pathology of the disease which has caused death and to determine the presence or absence of disease or injury .
